24" drop center rims

Can anyone tell me if Schwinn was the only manufacturer that used drop center rims? I have a pair that have brass nipples and a Bendix 2 speed hub that came on a bike I bought on Craigslist.

Schwinn only used drop centers on their ballooners until about '46, '47 when they switched over to the S-2. The Bendix 2-speed didn't start until the early-mid 50s for their aviation manual shifter or the early 60s for the kickback I believe.

The only brand I can think of that commonly used drop centers postwar is Sears. Spaceliner? I know those could have come with the kickback.

True, Schwinn switched over to their proprietary S-2 rim in the late 40's, but I have in my shop right now a 24" Wasp from '53 courtesy of the original owner that states the wheels on the bike were original, they're drop center rims.

Thank for the info, someone was looking for Schwinn drop center rims and I really didn't know enough about bikes to give him an answer
