I love the look of that!
Thanks, I think I’m in agreement.
Those look great!!
Thanks, I’m liking them.
I thought those were actual gumwalls! Those look perfect on there!
Gumwalls they are, finally a place to use them.
I haven't used them before but wanted to; perhaps on my '49 Higgins or a klunker. The front of those bars are just begging for some lights, or a horn or a "whatever" .........
I gambled on them, we’ll see.
A row of "off road" lights would look really rugged. All kinds of baggage and mount options for the Jones stuff. Kinda blocks access to the multiple hand positions though...

I pulled out a pair of lights while looking for a left over front caliper brake.

Had to do something today. I added front brake lever and grips.

@Wildcat had mentioned mullets bikes near the beginning of this thread. Got to thinking I do have 27.5” front wheel and tire. Guess if I get bored I could mock it up that way just to see how it would look.
Starting think about a shorter stem?

Woke up early today and geeked out looking at bike stuff on the SOMA Fab Shop web site. There is a wealth of unique parts available there all in one place. I had read an email with bells highlighted so I went and looked at options. Then I got sucked in to exploring, lots eye candy.

Soma does have a lot of great stuff. They have a decent YouTube channel as well. 👍

This front caliper brake is supposed to have a 110mm reach. I hope to test fit it on Saturday. It will provide backup for the coaster brake. Cheap import at best, hard to find a long reach unit.

Maybe 110mm to tip of brake arm but not to center of brake pad. Now I need to round up a set of extenders. I did mount the caliper along with cable and housing.

Looked through eBay and came up with a possible solution to extending the reach for the front brake caliper. What I found was the concept that I was trying to figure out how to make with stock metal and simple tools. It may require some shimming at front fork tube. I’ll need to check some dimensions. The concept is spot on, time will tell. They also have an extender for the rear. This seems to be a better solution than adding brake pads with an offset mount to drop them.
It’s of course from China so add a tariff joke cost to it.
