I used them recently after buying a Bontrager Privateer in Denver and having it shipped to me here in Phoenix. Very reasonable.

This looptail frame has to go to San Diego to be chromed. There is a guy in my office who goes there every weekend since his wife and kid are there. I don't know him that well so I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to ask him if he'll take it and drop it off for me. I'd have to ask him to bring in back in a few weeks or take the family on a short vacation there and pick it up. We camped there last fall. I do love San Diego.

So these guys who use the "Future Chrome" product want $500 - $600 to a frame and handlebars! I called a place in San Diego that still has real chrome done across the border and they quoted $100 for the frame.

Pacific Plating. They've got solid reviews. I called them back this morning to confirm the price of plating the frame. I was told if it's in good shape it could be $80. $100 if it needs some work. An additional $40 if I want my handlebars done too.

Since the build is idle until the frame is chromed, I'll post some pics of recent treasure that will go on this bike.

I can't decide on which stem. If I use the Huffy, I'll have it repainted and may anodize the clamps. Give me your thoughts.

I found the Mongoose on eBay. Not 100% sure I'm gonna use it.

I think the 'Goose stem is better than the Huffy. Of course, there are many other options as well.
