if thats yours could you do me a favor and measure the rim(ive heard that the 29'er wheels are actually the same size as the 28x1.5 but had nothing to check)? if what i hear is true itll be 25" thanks and sweet klunker(id actually ride something like that  )

Defintely not mine, but he did have this 26/29 wheel photo on there, probably not real useful but who knows

Sensor, I don't think they are the same. UK and Europe call it a 28r instead. 700c=29er=28er=622mm
28x1 1/2 is 635mm

very similar bike.

i think these frames start at $2500 though, dang!

check out the sliding rear dropouts.

yeah, tire/tube sizes are funny. we also get a lot of folks coming in with 700c hybrid tubes labeled 28x1 5/8. sometimes they don't believe us & go wandering off in search of a tube marked that way......good luck with that! anyway- those bikes are 2 of the best looking i've ever seen! i'd like to see one without discs. paul neo-retro or touring cantis maybe?

man I want one..... Guess I'll have to build it though cuz $2500 is out of the question...

Don's bike has a 16.5" chainstay which is real tight, but I like the disc brakes on that second one, cuz well, disc brakes actually work. Love the looks on these but I think standover would be an issue for me, normally I like 29-30" but the dang wheel takes up all of that.

the internal cable routing is a really nice feature too!

Wow these are cool. Kinda like the PT Cruiser/HHR of mountain bikes/klunkers. Very spot on retro style(ok the HHR is more spot-on than the PT in my Opinion...), but new technology. Sweet!

they are all just extremely expensive!

I have a Jamis Exile 29'er that I'm 'pimpin' out' at work, I'll measure the rim in the morning and post it for ya :)

^ yep. 700c rim + a 2.0" (50 mm) or larger tire = a "29'er"

I shoved 700cx45's on a Trek 7900 hybrid frame that came standard with all Deore mtn components back in 93 and I got laughed at ... they sure weren't laughing when we all got off the trail tho. :D

29'ers are simply 700c rims. They are called "29" to differentiate them from road bike. They are all 622mm diameter.
I could probably call this a "29'er", but it's not :)

29er are the same diameter than 700c rims but are wider to accomodate Moutain bike tires..
