mid 70s huffy . it's allready stripped for parts :wink:

mid 50s? made in france JCHiggins. this one is cool. the rear hub is to cool. itll probably be for trade or sale real soon(the hub that is) :lol:

Was the shifter on the Huffy a POSITRON? I ran across a Savannah recently and it had a Positron shifting system, must not have lasted too long as i have only found it on a couple of bikes from that period.

i dunno what it was called. it was a shimano, but it had a shift style id never seen. the cable attached to a rod that went in & out inside the hub instead of the little chain.
i'll take a closer look tonite.
 
The ones with the little chain are Sturmey Archer.The bellcrank and rod are Shimano.Can you post a close up of the hub and the shifter on the bars on the Huffy? Thanks
