I have 72-spoke wheels and I`d like to make a 3-speed (preferably Torpedo) bike using them.
Any good tips how to make this doable?
I don´t want to make all new hub...

I have been thinking of a 3 speed jackshaft for my Harlequin T build. I have the room. But I don't want to lose my no frills coaster brake...

Carl.

sent from a banana phone...

There are adapter flanges available for converting the Shimano 3 speed hubs to 72 or 144 spokes. Maybe they could be adapted if the flange diameters are similar.
Torpedo - shimano all the same to me, if it works. Can you give me directions where to look for, I can´t find them here.

Thanks!
Now I just need to find a Shimano hub...

Have to say, I also like those two builds of yours. Is the front rack on the Laton kustom made or something ready?

Ps.
After thinking a few minutes I quess I´m gonna make my own adapter...
Thanks. I like those projects, too. That front rack is a rear rack sold by Velo orange.

That's probably your best option, unless you just wanna lace up a 36h wheel....
