I bought this '34 Colson built frame set from a member here about two and a half years ago. I did a quick build up and it instantly became one of my favorite riders. Since it's original build up I have swapped many parts on it. It always had first dibs on most new stuff I got.

Enjoy the transformation from Rat Rider to my RRBBO7 build, QuickSilver.

The original build up was with parts I had on hand and supplies were low at the time, hence the BMX crank set.

My ex- Brother-in-law was a wood worker with a well equiped workshop. He helped me build this tank from a chunk of solid oak.

For those of you who don't know, I kinda got a thing for bid head lights. This one was too much, even for me.

This ratty Royce Union horn did find a home on the bike though.

Pin stripes were the next addition. This was the first of many bikes I had my man, Harry, line for me.

A sweet 6v Delta head light was bought from dangsratdan at the Midwest Bicycle Swap and quickly found a new home.

I won a pair of Boa-G 26-3.45 tires at the Midwest Bicycle Fest and they were tried out but didn't fit the look of bike so they came off and the red tires went back on.

Itching for something to build I briefly tried out a Messinger "Long John" saddle.

I had been planning on building a Lone Star Beer bike for a long time and had painted the seat for it.

I also added this brass Lone Star badge made for me by Jones and Sons

The seat just wasn't right so the ratty old leather saddle went back on.

For the Coasters BC Hallowheelie ride last year I mounted close to 200 LEDs on the bike and joined the ride. I am the horse faced guy.

After the ride the lights came back off but this sweet tail light from pick went on.

When Felt was clearing out their white Thick Bricks I, like many of us here, bought a pair.

This is how she remained until May and the begining of RRBBO7.

After three months she emerged anew.

I again called on Harry to work his magic.

Is she finished? Is any bike ever really finished? She will stay as she is for the time being, but I am sure she will see many new parts, a different coat of paint maybe. And miles. Lots and lots of miles. She is still my favorite rider.
