I know this may seem like a rookie question, but here goes. I have a (I believe) 36 Schwinn motorbike. I believe it is early 36 as it has some 35 stamped parts, but has the 36 locking fork. However, I was told that the current incarnation is all-original parts. It is about 75% complete. The coaster brake hub is a New Departure, Model D. I didn't think about it until recently, but it seems like 1936 should have an earlier model hub. Can somebody tell me what model hub is correct for 1936 Schwinn? It has the correct drop-center rims, which is why it didn't cross my mind originally. Thanks in advance for some pro insight.

I would say your Model D is correct. Here is a page from a New Departure catalog from 1936. Borrowed from nostalgic.net

Awesome, thanks! I had looked on t.r.findleys but it said New Departure, but no model. And none of the pics were close enough to tell. I couldn't find a date on the hub anywhere either. Thanks again.
