Wow! That's a nice one. That's the earliest use of the Wald "nutcracker" neck I've seen on a Schwinn. The '40 and '41 bikes always have them but this is the first one I've seen on a bike that old. Gary

Noticed the head badge may be a Mead Cycle Co. "Ranger"

How and whats the history or background with Schwinn and Mead Cycle Co.? Did Mead build for Schwinn or Schwinn for Mead here on this bike?? or???

Mead was its own company in the teens and 20s but later in the years they merged with Schwinn and for a short time Schwinn made mead badged Schwinns like this one. IMO its the best of both worlds 8) 8)
