I got to talking to a guy at Walmart, and somehow the conversation led to bikes, so he said to come by his house and he had some stuff for me 8) 8) first one I picked up was a 57 Schwinn American, just what the wife has been looking for to build (more and likely I will provide some help on this one) and next was a girls Firestone that got bent in the middle, so this will be a part out real soon, and the next trip involved this poor 24' Schwinn Racer, all I want off this is the decal on the front fender, cool safety sticker, and last I think I will build sometime, cool looking Hawthorne three speed with some wild fenders, and a ugly reweld on the headtube

That Hawthorne is a Birmingham, England, made Hercules. After 1960, they were produced by Raleigh in Nottingham, England, and were lower quality. Let me know if you want to get rid of it.

That chain guard on the Firestone is Beefy. i like it. Let me know if it goes on the market. :wink: If so I'll try to scrounge up some cash.

I went to see a guy last night that had said for weeks that he had a '57 Schwinn I could have :shock: .
It wasn't...it was a 70's or 80's whatever-made 3-speed piece of junk. :x

Yeah , that Firestone is a shame, I am still working on trying to buy his GT freestyle bike from the eighties with the gt mags, Pro class stem :shock: all I need now is a steady job to please the bank first :x
