40's Something...?

The serial number is stamped "12970" and right below it has "FCW" stamped in the frame. Some insight is it may be a Huffman from the 40's, but I'm not certain. Just trying to pinpoint maker, model, and possible year.

Sure looks like a Huffman frame to me. Not much is original and I'm not very familiar with the maker, but I'd say late prewar/early postwar. I think the FCW could suggest it was originally a Firestone badged bicycle.

Thanks! It has a Firestone headbadge, but I was unsure if that had been original to the bike. As mentioned, the bike may have been pieced together over the years.
