I spent part of yesterday digging my 59 DNB folder out of depths of my bike stash. WIldcat has some cool plans to build it up over in the Philippines.
In exchange for my DNB he gave me his awesome BO8 build "Coppertooth" 1946 CWC which have a cool set of copper 3G wheels with a skiptooth cog and Carlisle Lightning Darts. There is also a cool copper backed skiptooth dogleg crank and a copper cutout that I may use as a tank insert. It was definitely worth the 4+ hour round trip. Plus I got to meet another cool RRBer.

Took Coppertooth out for a Savannah ride shortly after I got home.

Another nice pickup! Welcome to the EBTA, (Early Balloon Tire Anonymous)...You'll want more.

BTW hope all these will make the trip up to my swap meet Feb, 22...more info in events section..

Thanks. These bikes are made to be ridden. Coppertooth would have just hung there and got rusty if I hadn't traded it. The 3G wheels are lightweight, and with lightweight 2.125 tires make an old frame much faster. Coppertooth is heavy either way, but my 53 Schwinn is about 35 lbs with the lighter typhoon cord tires. I can ride it all day with a 52/20 tooth setup.

Roadmaster fenders are the coolest. The new copper wheels look great on that old classic.
I was down the road visiting St. Simons Island this week.
