$5 Schwinn cruiser score

Scored this '82 or '92 Schwinn Cruiser at the local thrift store today. It was only $5 I saw the heavy duty rims with 5 speed and it had to be mine. Tires are like new too! Got it home and even the tubes were good! Only thing wrong with it was one nut was missing that held the spring to the seat pan...and of coarse it being pink. A quick stop by the hardware store on the way home and 11 cents for the nylon lock nut took care of the seat. I will probably part it out.

Cool 26" straight tube fork. This will be used for a future 26" BMX build! Also HEAVY DUTY rims!

I love these big cushy seats. Great for long comfortable rides.

Cool BMX style stem too. This will go in the BMX part bin as well. Now just got to find a BMX looking 26" frame. :mrgreen:

Well the 4 digit code on the head badge is 2286 so I'd guess '92.

Yes it does, I figured it's worth 4 times what I paid just for the tires. Not to mention wheels, seat, and everything else. Lots of killer parts on it.
