54 Schwinn going to cold storage

I had this bike for about a year now and it's gone through some changes and identity crisis. Sick of looking at it I took it out of the apartment and locked it up outside, so some pics before it goes into cold storage.

looks like your bike was a 60s bike from the tank hangers on the frame. cool bike, wear a coat :mrgreen:

Pretty sure it is 54 Panther from the serial numbers and it has a sticker from 56. I'm guessing it was a mid weight and came with a half tank. I think it's funny how bikes had to be registered, and still do in some places.

Sure! I took the Schwinn down to the water with some floats attached and pushed it out into the Atlantic. Keep an eye out on the shore.

Thats proper made me laugh after a crumy sunday stuck at work! I'm on the Northeast Coast... will get my mates in Cornwall to keep an eye out for it!
