55' Spitfire I p/u on trade.

Picked up this sweet mostly original 1955 Schwinn Spitfire a couple weeks ago. I traded 2 old bmx frames for it. I plan on keeping the original paint and finding the correct chainguard, pedal, and headbadge. I added the tan leather Persons seat replacing the fugly royce union seat it had on it when I picked it up. I'm going to get the original S2 wheels worked on and I'll probably look for a replacement set to cruise for the time being. I'm kinda thinking apehangers and bent back seatpost. Nothing crazy in case I wanna throw her back into stock condition.

That thing is sweet! I like the big tires. I'm looking for a temporary replacement set right now.

The spitfire frame is the only 24 inch frame I have found they fit on without having to widen the frame some. Mine had the fenders and chain guard but I took them off and put them up when I put the thick bricks on it
