['48 Hawthorne]

I'm pretty sure the 'unknown skip-tooth ballooner' (second pic) is a Snyder built Hawthorne.

In 1963 Columbia used that frame for the Newsboy Special. Judging by the bars maybe thats what it is. Decode the serial number and look at the guard in good light on an angle and see if you can read the decal

I agree on the bike being a newspaper boy special.......friend on mine has one. It's a ballooner also. Excellent finds!

The 20" looks like a Huffman to me. The Firebolt is a middleweight and most of the ones ive come across have been '61s but the link Schwinnray posted will tell you for sure. Nice haul!

That's what I thought it was when the guy sent me pictures of the Firebolt but the fenders on this thing are massively fat with balloon tires. Its all original and unmolested so I don't know whats goin on.
