60s? Hawthorne What year and model?

Picked this up yesterday at a swap meet. THe narrow tires, small twin top tubes and 3 speed caught my eye. Has kind of a townie look to it. I think it is a 1965 but not completely sure. Not a clue as to the model.

It's a early to mid 60's Rollfast (Snyder) made bike. Nice!

I was hoping it was a Rollfast made bike, sweet! Judging by the model number I found on the seat tube ending in -65 I am thinking that is the year. It has candy apple red paint, tinted clear over a silver base. Giving it a clean up and a few new parts and gonna ride it.

That chain guard starts showing up around '63. Some of these came with a pseudo tank that kinda looks like a big safety pin.
