Picked this up last week but cant quite date it. Its in pretty decent shape. Broke down super easy, battery tray is spotless and it even has the headlight lens and rear jewel reflectors. Any help on the date?
It looks like a 1962 from the SS Number according to the James Hurd catalog book I have, It would of came with a coaster brake and sold for $46.95 brand new.Picked this up last week but cant quite date it. Awesome! Thanks for the info. It's cleaning up very nicely except for one patch of rust on the rear wheel. Why are the rear wheels always more rusty than the front?I have one just like it. I will try to find a photo to show.
Grease/oil from the chain. When it's not cleaned off it attracts particulates that promote corrosion. Why are the rear wheels always more rusty than the front?
And I would have thought that the grease/oil would have made a protective barrier.Grease/oil from the chain. When it's not cleaned off it attracts particulates that promote corrosion.
