picked up this 20'' Spitfire from the second owner , he bought it when he was around 8 years old in 1961 ? for $10,he said "with all the apehanger craze going on he went to the local hardware store and bought the "highrisers" for $3 ! and added a banana seat later(1965 or so)", i have not dated it yet , but he's thinking late 50's to early 60's, he had lots of stories to go along with this bike, lots of races with the local neighborhood kids, and also him and his dad wanting it to look like the "newer" StingRays in the local bike shops!
