pulled this out of a barn ,close to where i live ,you just never what you'll find !the old fella said it was "one of his creations' he couldn't remember when he built it but he recalled cuising it around !i would guess his age about late 70,s i dated this bike as a 64 junior now the oldest sting in my collection.unfortunatley he welded a after market kickstand to the bottom of the orginal !
and check out the extended forks ! haven't seen something like that in awhile 8) ,,work of old school art ? or rat rod madness! let you guyz call this one...

almost nothing appears to be original, but an awesome piece of our history! you should keep it that way, like the old gassers people find, do a bit of maintanince to keep them going, and ride it!

what to do i'm torn between takin it apart or keeping it as is ? it's prety cool as is but as far as sting rays go its my oldest one i have !leave as is or restore, that is the question :?: i kinda agree with stretch,it just cool the way it is.,,and locojoe asked if i've riddin it ? thats a no for now ,it's got flat tires that need fixin..we'll see what happens,,. :?:

Hey A.S. Boltnut, I just dug out an old Huffy MX seat almost identical to yours, mine has some cheesy flames on the sides. Also had decades of dust and cobwebs on it minutes ago.

Man..that is a tough call right there..on one hand it is really cool as is..on the other hand, it would make a really cool throw back to the 70's..either way..I NEED TO START LOOKING IN MORE BARNS !! So were is "Olive City" ???? (don't want to overstep my territories of barn hunting..lol !!)

Zip tie the middle rung of the basket to the middle of the handle bar so it sits level, slap on some tubes and grease. Perfect pit/campground bike.

Ya, A.S.BOLTNUT that looks like a classic beer hauler! As for the MX seat, I think I'll hang on to that...looks like it would look good on a ch 8) pper, sorry.

Yes, A.S.BOLTNUT, I'll let ya know if I change my mind. Top of the seat is great, but, as you can see it needs the sides replaced...easy, no problem there. I had 2 of these seats, but I'm sure the other one is long gone, I'll look but don't get your hopes up.

great score(and for what my $.005 is worth id roll it as is......ive seen alot of people trying to recreate that look recently and that says alot right there  )
