Also, because I have no idea where else to share this, here's the single worst damage I've ever seen to a fork steerer tube EVER!
I was trying to take apart this 20in Schwinn on Sunday, hoping to salvage the bearing cups for another build of mine, only for the fork to shear in two. But that wasn't the worst of it.
THIS IS! I have never seen a crack travel the whole length of the steerer tube on a fork before! And it's been like this for a while... I mean, look at the rust! Like... how does that even happen?! No wonder I could never get the fork off this bike; it was absolutely destroyed!
