I had this guy I know thats on my sons paper route come up to me and say " If your such an awesome bike builder why is your son riding a piece of junk spray painted bike (the GT Dyno VFR) on his route. WOW is all I could think as he was saying this. I just happened to have the bike he was talking about in the back of my truck so I pulled it out and pointed out that it was a project in progress and that we have been taking off the spray paint and leaving the original paint. All he could say was "ahh cool" and walked away. What an .....

Some people are morons  I have built lots of killer cool bikes but I normally ride whatever I got handy. And if I delivered papers I wouldn't ride a big dollar bike to do it anyway.

In such a situation I ask people if they are willing to buy me something better, if not, then shut up.

Before football season he rode his chrome X24 and his newer mountain bike but since we got the dyno going hes wanted to ride it. I thought about really confusing the guy and let him ride a different bike every day lol

I used to do that when I was still in school. I traded bikes and owned so many I don't think I rode the same bike twice from first grade till graduation.
Now that I only have a small shed for storage I have shrunk my collection to 15-20 bikes at a time.

my favorite bumper sticker was on the back of a primer red rat rod "It IS finished!"

It's a kids bike.....You could build a kid a chopper with a dinky sprocket, 3 foot forks and a crappy flame job. or you could buy him a $700 Felt F24 road bike. He'll ride the chopper every time. This dude's childhood totally sucked

LOL my kids would rather ride old bikes any time over a new bike no matter what it is. The guy that came up to me was the kind that had the pricey bikes as a kid and has a cannondale collecting dust in his garage
