Should fit easy. I put 27"s on my 700c for my WBO
"The Difference Engine" and it was a tight fit, 27"s are taller.

Carl.

Shouldn't be a problem at all. 700c wheels are actually just a little smaller than 27: wheels. Check your brake allignment on the rims. There should be enough adjustment in your brake pads to cover it.

8mm difference in rim diameter, so you'll need to be able to drop the brake pads down another 4mm to reach. Most times, the stock brakes will work. Worst comes to worst, you might need to swap ion longer reach brakes or notch the calipers to allow more pad adjustment....

Pardon me for being a bit simple, but ...

knowing that
700mm / 25.4 = 27.55"
and
27inch x 25.4 = 685.8mm

to me the 700mm wheel should be taller than a 27" wheel.
700mm>685.8mm
and
27.55">27"

right?

Nope.

Whoever said a danged thing about 700mm? It's called 700c. "C" is a remnant from an obsolete French-system describing how wide a rim is... the 700c rim's bead seat diameter is 622mm; the overall diameter--with tires-- is in the neighborhood of 700mm, but they make 622mm tires in widths ranging from 19mm to 65mm. So, the overall diameter is quite variable.

27" wheels have a 630mm bead-seat diameter. FWIW, 28" wheels have a 635 bead-seat diameter, and the good ppl of Frogland used to call them 700b.

EDIT: try and remember that wheelsizes are often described in terms of rim diameter PLUS rubber, which is why a 26" can be 559mm (@22") rim plus 2" of tire, both top and bottom, for a total of 26".... or, it can be a 571mm (@ 22.5") rim plus about 1.75" of tire, top and bottom, for a total of 26"... or, it can be a 590mm rim (@23.25") plus 1 3/8" of tire, top and bottom, for a total of 26"..... The 559 is the "common" 26" size; the 571 is a Schwinn s7 26", aka 26x 1 3/4, known to ancient Frogs and modern time trial/tri ppl as a 650c, and the time trial ppl run skinny <23mm rubber on them. The 590 is aka 26x 1/38, or EA3, or 650a in Francophile terminology. Schwinn also offered a 26 x 1 3/8", but theirs was 597mm in diameter.

So, yeah, don't go running around assuming that the names and numbers of bicycle tires make any sense at all, ever. They don't. You'll want to do some research, or measure yourself, or just come on RRB and ask me.:rockout::crazy:
