70's German 'Super De Luxe' Muscle Bike build

i hope to use this build to compete in the young members build off as i am only 13 years old

b.t.w this is an awesome site!!!

right i bought this bike a few years ago from fleebay for about £10 pounds and i haven't bothered doing anything with it till now....
i am planning to do this as cheap as possible so lets GO!

!DAY ONE!

i started stripping the frame down today...

sorry for bad pics..

the frame takes 18" wheels so i will be using 18" + a 16" wheel

16" wheel..
beforei got scotchbright on it:

and After:

wheel masked up ready for spokes to be painted black

getting some red paint tomorrow for the rims 8)

im out in a minute to give it the second coat

i really have no clue may keep it black but i dunno id you have any ideas i would love to hear em..
i think i will struggle to find 18" tires also :/

Ordered some raleigh chopper red bands last night should be here by friday
this is how the look fitted to a bike 'imagine the rear wheel is an 18" not 20" though...

applied more coats tho the front wheel...

oooops.... will touch up later with a brush...

wheel finito!

on to the next one now..

cleaned the bars up still stuck in there though...

greased all the bearings up would have done it properly if i could get the bars out....

made a bit of a mess of my dads workshop...

now i have to start thinking about a wheelie bar.. if you guys still think i should do it.. will probably do it anyway

any ideas on simple ways to make one...?

ordered some stickers..
should be coming soon to and i'm still trying to get some one to do the headtube sticker if anyone can please?

also could i please have a ratrodbikes sticker to go on the bike please?
