Picked up this 1974 Raleigh Sports recently from my work, looked to be in good shape despite being encrusted in years of dirt and oil. It was missing the original leather Brooks saddle, but i was able to locate a suitable replacement. New tires, tubes, brake pads, and cables were all that required replacing, was even able to reuse the brake cable housings! Two days of mostly cleaning and its ready to ride! :)

I didnt get too many before shots, but i am sure you guys have seen a dirty Raleigh before.

Came out nice, if it wasnt snowing I would have test ridden it, but that can wait.

Very Nice, I love Raleighs. I got a chrome 66 dealer display in November thats still in the box. I cant wait to overhaul it and ride it. Just my opinion but I think they were the best bicycles made in their time. Aside from the rat rodding, go to goodwill and find a tweed sport coat and do a tweed ride. Its a whole other form of the cycling community that is a lot of fun. Enjoy your machine Sir
