So my day started out great woke up early and went to my storage unit and rebuilt the hub on the Western Flyer Super skiptooth cruiser got it all back together and loaded it up went back home (my house is right on the bike trail) so I'm off to our local bike club weekly ride.
Ok reverse camera
There we go
So we all meet up in the park weather is great we're riding
50 bikes deep
I was not the only one rocking a skiptooth guy had this ratty Schwinn skiptooth with truss fork and fender light.
Took some pictures along the way. In total rode about 15 miles.
Then tire goes flat. So I walk back to my storage unit which was only about a mile.
And grab my Schwinn American.
So I get down the storage lot and across the street about 100 yards and... chain broke
So I grab my Flightliner
Then ride the 2 miles home back to my car... only to realize I left my phone on my shop table so back to the unit and drop off the bike and grab my phone and get enough pictures to remember this day.
It was still a good day in my book... I got to ride 3 of my vintage bikes, the Western Flyer skiptooth chain and hub are intact and the tire is an easy fix, the WF rides great, the Schwinn American rides ok but needs a chain and apes, and the Flightliner rides great but needs a different seat for sure. Feels like sitting on piece of plywood. Other than that minor inconvenience, and the other minor inconvenience, and the third minor inconvenience it was a great day.
