Ok that may sound silly ,but that is what Cman called it ....So thats the name. I finished pretty much everything today except I need one more grease zirt for the neck and to put the headbadge back on. Didnt notice either till I took the pictures. Ok here it is for your viewing pleasure. There is alot of could have and should have ,but this is what I came up with. I have the chrome chainguard but I'm still unsure if I want it on there.

Nice paint and wheel choice looks like a fun bike to ride. Do all the Elgines have a greese zirt in the head tube? The only reason i ask is because i have this Schwinn Heavy that has the zirt in the head tube and the bottom bracket, and ive never seen that before.

very sharp!!!!
are those the kenda flames blacked out?
I think thats the way they come now . These were off of a Del Sol I picked up. I do have a set that has the flames red but they look kinda cheezy.

Looks good all put back together.

How does it ride?
Wait a minute nobody said I had to ride it. Is this a trick question. It will go next to my other wall hanger elgin...hummm kinda like a collection :|

Looks great Stretch. I still have a long way to go on mine. Gotta love the Elgin motorbike.
from yours in the picture it didnt look like you were that far off. I still have to have a hanging tank made for mine ..paint it and come up with a large red elgin decal in script . then get some white tires. then ill be through.

I think the chrome chainguard would have worked if you would have used silver paint instead of gold.

My original plan for the bike was to have the frame powdercoated black....have the fenders blasted and leave them raw with possible red pinstriping and throw some blackwalls on with the Lobdells.

The bad thing about powder coating is they usually want $150 to do a frame and forks and then they take along time because the want to do multiple things to heat an oven up. Its not as easy as it sounds.

 that is one classy machine! love everthing about it. you needed a build, after all of our hurricane b.s.,and you tore it up! :D you are still my hero!

Hey thanks John. I should be either painting my house or replacing the sheetrock in my garage , but I can only stop building so long and this quick build makes me feel good. The rest can wait a few days....bike building comes first he he.

Looks good. I like the fenders on it. Maybe you need to try your hand at some Pins.

I would have to do them with tape . I cant imagine trying to use a stripping brush. I know everything just takes practice but at 58 my learning curve is way down. :( Monday I should be able to get the guy building my hanging tank . Guess they have to be smaller than I normally do them to look right.
