2007 I had these rims powder coated green. Not for any particular project but just because I liked the green. Once the wheels were built I stashed them in the attic.
2008 I wanted to see the green wheels on a bike so I pulled this twin bar frame down out of the attic and built it up.
Later I tore down this bike and sold the frame and stashed the green wheels in the attic.
2009 I wanted to build up a bike to take on our trip to the Portland TDF and the West Coast. Brought down the green wheels and a frame from the attic and built this.
After returning home I tore down the bike and stashed the green wheels in the attic.
Later in 2009 I brought down the green wheels from the attic and swapped out the black ones I had on the Bike of Frankenstein for the Art Of The Bicycle show.
After the show I decided I liked the black wheels better so I swapped them back and up in to the attic the green wheels went.
2010 I wanted to build a special ride for Anti-Tweed Night at the Pub Pedal. I thought the green wheels would clash nicely with my outfit. Up to the attic I went.
Anti-Tweed night came and went and this bike was getting in the way so I tore it down and stashed it and the wheels back up in the attic.
2011 the green wheels received a much needed break.
2012 itching to build something new I drug a frame and the green wheels down from the attic.
Not really liking the green wheels on this build I built some new wheels and replaced the green wheels. Back in to the attic the green wheels went.
Today the green wheels still on my mind I drug them down along with a frame and built this.
The green wheels have served me well and I look forward to many more years with my green wheels.
