Hi guys,
after my sixdays did not really fit into the ratrod category with its self-designed builtup from scrath I now started a new project with my oldest daughter that is just right into this sort of bicycling...

We named it "spitfire" which describes the theme of the grafics we planned. Last night we started with tearing down the basis which was a cheap cruiser bike from a local discounter. The color is awful but the components are useful, Nexus3speed and an internal hub generator. The front rim brakes are not what we love most but is what we have so we got used to them.

Here are the first pictures...

Lets see where it leads us to... 8)

After some grinding work the first layers of paint found their way on the rims. Classic red covered by some flakes and a first glossy clear coat. Perhaps tomorrow grinding with 600 water grind, then transparent black and again several coats of clear...

More pics comin soon

Thanks, man ;)
Heres the first red paint with following multicolored flakes and a first coat of glossy clear...

If this bores you give a signal...

Very nice, what kind of paint did you use for the frame? I really like the finish..

Great job! Tell us about the paint. 8).........You guys from Germany do great work.

The paint is easy. First graffiti cans for the "color" then the flakes which came from the do-it-yourself-maam-department from the building centre. And finish is cheap clear coat in several layers. Between each layer careful sanding with 600 sandpaper and water... thats it! :D

Twas much more difficult on my highneck...

Right! Spray glitter really is my favorite at the moment. Im makin experiments with transparent lacquer. Its not easy not loosing my ambition of low budget production...

I suggested kinda BMX bars, but daughter wants a wide cruiser moonie... :p
The seat will be an old blackandwhite Electra thing which is low enough for the kid. I cutted the seattube as much as possible to reduce seat height to let her reach the ground.

I hope that shes growin faster for a cooler seat
