I stuck this in one of my other posts ,but I felt it should be out on its own. As I have watched all the bike builders in the last year or so I see that Boardtrackfan is responsible for changing everybody's style more than any other member. His dedication to building board track style bikes has led to everybody building that style. Almost everybody is affected in one way or another. Now its not a style that lends itself to a really comfortabe ride , being an older person ,but they do look fantastic. Its like saying the Beatles changed music forever....you may not have liked their music ,but there is no way to deny that they were responsible. So all that said I think you have made a real contribution to the RatRod site.

well he does contribute to the boardtrack portion, ill give him that. 8) but i dont know why..

I absolutely love looking at all those boardtrack bikes on this forum, they truely are eyecatchers and very photogenic, you can see the speed oozing off them even when they stand still. 8) That said, I usualy forget their size when photographed on their own, and dream away thinking I should build one too, untill I see a picture of somebody riding one...yikes...the riding position looks so cramped, I wouldn't know how to ride one being 6' (as a showcase they do rule, with or without engine, period.) But please don't let that stop you guys from building more, I love to see them. Hail boardtrackfan! :D

Some of "my" best ideas come from that corner of this site. Insight and cool bikes are to be found when that fella shows up. As far as being comfortable bike to ride, I have found that they aren't too bad if you just ride them no handed.

Wow! Thanks guys, it makes me feel really good that I am able to contribute to such a great site and hobby. I'm only 5'7" so the boardtrack style does not bother me to ride long distances. I grew-up riding BMX bikes with hard plastic seats and then road bikes. Neither style bike can be called "comfortable". I do have a Schwinn cantilever frame with a springer front, sprung seat and big moon bars. Now that bike is comfortable! It also has Nirve bad a@# tires, so it just glides over bumps.

You have done alot to shape the site ....alot of good ideas and some really topknotch builds. Its just a well deserved pat on the back for a job well done .

Can't ride em, love looking at em....His are the best!

I tried my first build of this style this year, I am very pleased with the results. Comfortable so so ,Looks I cant take my eyes off it, It was funny I had the bike parked last night in front of the house as we were all hanging out, my brotherinlaw tried it out and liked it , my wife decided she was going to try it until she tried to sit on it....changed her mind real quick with a "how can you ride that thing"
