Decided to run the chain guard much bodywork to get it smooth again .
Here's your plastic metal bondo again and a bunch of tiny hammering.

Way behind on posting pics here's some shots lighting has not been good if its not overcast with smoke its raining
and had wicked golf ball size hailstorm a day ago nice plants that were on my deck are history as well as the roofs on my neighbour and brother in laws gazebo's

Had to use fork tool as forks were slightly pushed back but all good now .
Wheels bars cranks chain and pedals on in these shots also nice old big brake leavers that I rehabbed .

Big Apples are great tires. I've never had a full size set though. But I loved them on my Dahon Jetstream years ago.

Tried Franks on my last build off bike and I like them as well but think Big Apples roll better .
Wife has a set of Big Apples on her 53 Schwinn and that bike will coast for miles .
Also like Big Bens and Little Big Bens have those on my 700c and 28 inch bikes same tread pattern .
Nothing makes an old bike ride better than a good set of modern tires .
Also the only thing I splurged on on this build most of the stuff was on the bike and stuff I had laying around .
Lots of refurbishing on this build .

Saddles are awesome! Any photos of the steps of construction along the way?

But you make a good point somebody should go through the process on here if they haven't already .
I 'm no pro that's for sure but there are guys on here and the Cabe that are .

Is there a trick to posting pictures on here as my shots seem to to be duller and have a little less detail than originals

I reduce the size of my pictures on my phone or computer, then upload them, so that they better resemble the originals without the unknown factor of a server doing it.

Kind of kept loose track of the time on this build so here's a little breakdown

1hr. Teardown had a stuck crank used torch and stem was broken in 1/2
1 1/2 hr. Clean green paint off and and shine up crank and headset
1 1/2 hr. Strip paint off frame and forks
1hr. Prep for paint sanding and a bit of filler in one spot
2hr. Paint base coat and top coat repair top coat then more top coat .
1/2 hr. Paint second fork
1/2hr. Install tires
1hr. Clean and mod brake cables shorten front cable ( Then made all new custom cables so never used them )
1hr. Made all new custom red cables for everything
1/2hr.installed headset forks crank and kickstand
1/2hr. Installed wheels
1hr. installed bars shifter cable brake cables and grips
3hr. working and painting chain guard
2 1/2 hr. rebuilding original red saddle (did not use on this bike )
2 1/2 hr rebuilding black slide rail saddle that I used on the bike
2 hr. cleaning and regreasing rear 3 speed hub

Tweaking time - unknown doing little things like straightening front fork adjusting cables etc.
Have to find out from my friend Gilles how long it took to respoke those wheels into the new rims .
Waiting for parts - many days

So about 22 hrs. total maybe a little more of actual work time .

One of my favourite things in this build the chain guard .
It almost didn't happen as I normally don't run them and this one was pretty beat up
but it has such a cool shape and is now rock solid and tied in everything on the bike colour wise .
I like how it's notched out where the tire is .
Should have ran a bobbed rear fender as well that could still happen .

Adding that fun shine to your old bike was a great call!
I totally agree that a bobbed rear fender would the perfect final addition to your creation. BRAVO!
