Hey ,
I want to build a custom frame , but don't know how to weld don't have a welder and on a tight budget , i know how to do composites and bend plastics ,
so my question is : Would a ABS pipe frame with standard steal dropout/head tube/bottom bracket could hold ?
abs pipe alone would not , i know , but maybe with expansion foam inside to make it stiffer and a layer of carbon or something over it ...
sounds crazy i know , but ... could create a very light frame.. no? maybe? (The Black thick/relatively stiff ABS pipes)
Thank's

You should fill the frame tubes with something solid, I had a carbon fiber framed bike and it sounded all creeky and cracky when I pedaled hard, I was afraid she was gonna snap. Thats the main reason I sold it and will never own another one. Interesting idea though none the less.

yeah ,as said above i was thinking to fill it with expantion foam , witch fill all the gaps and end up very hard , should also prevent that cheep plastic sound i predict
