Great day yesterday! Took a ride out to the burbs to say hi to @Verrt and pick up a sweet Bread Loaf seat for my build.. Thanks Leon!! Good to see you! I had a blast on the long ride on a 90 degree day!

Oh right where I like my seat.
Was great to see you, Skip
So starved for human contact right now, the 15 minute conversation from 10 feet away was the highlight of my week! :21:

That seat's gonna look cool on that build, glad to see it go to a good home.
In that position it kinda looks like a pillion pad on an old Enfield or BSA.

A little video of yesterday’s ride to pick up the seat

I always knew you were insane, but I don't think I'd quite realized how much until watching that video.

Never in my mind did I ever think I would say this but........
Great video of you pinching a loaf!

You have to do it right so the drops aren't facing up.
They need to be swapped left for right when they get flipped.
Note on Skip's pic they are done correctly.

GC.
Agreed, They won't work unless they are swapped. I'm still trying to see where the stops are. I've got a beehive springer I'd like to do this with. I can't see how the tire won't contact the springer when compressed. I must be doing something wrong.

It might be a 24" fork... It'd probably still work on a 26" if it was rockered correctly. Because on a 26" there's a ton of room when done the stock way and less but still plenty flipped.

Here's mine.
Even if I swapped them, I don't see how it will keep it from bottoming out.

Just a quick update. Cut a small banana seat pan to fit in front of bread loaf seat. Also went with a different rear fender more flatter for more room to bolt a section of 27” steel rim under to be part of the seat support system. (More pics to come of that)
Just a rough mockup to see how it works.. going to bring the fender up even shorter so it ends near the back of the seat and there will be no extra rim sticking past the end of fender. Seat will also have some sort of sissy bar to hold my 200 pound butt.. okay 208
I really like how this is looking so far.
Thanks for looking

You're a mad man!

I like the idea of the rim support under the fender. An additional way to add support without a sissy bar is to incorporate a brace as a fender skirt like I did on Firewing.

I dig the loaf extension alot. Very cool idea.

208? Gez, I just went in for a check up and tipped the scales at a flat 230! I wish it was 208... I'm also wondering if some kind of solid bar (or a pair) under the pan continuous to the back of the seat might help? Something unseen but structural. Cool idea bro. Looking forward to the next ride.

Carl.

You are reading my mind Carl. Yeah I am going to have a piece of flat stock from the seat post tube all the way back. Should be unseen. Thanks
Can’t wait to ride with you and the rest of the TailDraggers

Making sure the brakes fit. Nexus roller bearing brakes. Loving the huge rear “disk” love these brakes such a good look and easy to install.

Still some work to do on fender seat support. But it’s all coming

Great look with those roller brakes. That's next on my list of build ideas. Maybe BO #16.

Just a few shots of a tire swap. Love me some Fat Franks but at 26x2.35 they just grow so tall on the fat rim. I couldn’t get it to not rub fender/seat support. I’m thinking black tire for the paint scheme anyway. Mounted a set of Schwalbe Marathon tires on. At 26x2 I have a lot more clearance under the fender. And really I like the racer look of the lower profile tire.

Sorry forgot to get a side by side of Fat Frank and Marathon.
Thanks again for looking.
