Afternoon Huffy klunker

Got this Huffy from a friend of mine who found it in the trash. Rusty, but complete and working.

Well with a bit of brillo and some parts from the garage it turned into a pretty nice klunker

Thanks. He pretty much just picked it up as is, filled the tires and lubed the chain. :shock:
It did clean up purty though. I still am amazed at what people just toss out sometimes.

I picked up 5 bikes this week that were going in the trash. Two World Traveler Schwinns ladies and mens. Needed are in tires. A Schwinn Del Mar cruiser that still had wrapping from the store on the cranks and rear rack. And two Roadmaster mountain bikes that were left out for the trash man and I got to them just as he was two houses away. They were still shiny and new. Problem was, I was in my car so, the sight of me pulling them to the side and getting my trusty tool bag and taking wheels off to fit in back seat and trunk, must have been a sight. I grabbed them all because no worthy bikes will go to the dump on my watch. :lol: Just to be sure I wasn't stealing bikes, I knocked on doors to make sure they were going to the dump and not just left by accident, " Nope...if you can load them up before the truck gets here, they are yours ". Score! My wife is not happy with the bicycle room which just a week ago was our music room. Oh well, the garage was already full honey! :roll: Your score was sweet! Nice clunker!
