Anyone have an idea on the age of this bike. Said to be a western Flyer but have not yet seen it in person. Should be picking it up this morning sometime

couple things stand out, the seat stays come together in front of the seat mast, and the down tube is welded to the lower top bar... doesn't ring a bell tho.. :?

Shelby frame for sure, about '36, 37 or so. Hard to judge fork and fenders for sure from these photos. Light is 36 ish vintage though. Chainwheel, stem, not original. Seat probably not 36, but old. Nice score!

from what i can make out the numbers are M215644???? anyone?

I am not aware of a serial number database for Shelby, or for that matter, most makes from the 1930's. I am standing by my call of 35-37ish. The photos are iffy but the rims look like Lobdel triple-step, which pretty much disappeared after 36.

Had some great luck with the disassembly! Sprayed joints down with PB blaster and let it sit overnight. unbolted everything as if it were a brand new bike. Busted a couple fender bolts off but no other issue. Brought the fork in to the shop and straightened it up. Now to decide what to do with it........ I will note that for its age, this is by far the most solid frame I have stumbled across. very heavy and no rust im a happy camper :D
