I concur.Late 60’s or VERY early 70’s? No BMA decal. Doesn’t look Raleigh built
Serial number may be on the inside or outside of the rear dropout. That will be the best evidence
I’m going to pick it up this afternoon, seller said she couldn’t find the serial number but I will find it and look it up! Looks to be in pretty good shape, and I’m getting it for $20 so it seems like a steal.I concur.
It's Huffy made before 1971. Huffy's serial number begins with the last digit of the year followed by an "H" then the 5 or 6 digit sequence number. 9H would be 1969.
That's my favorite chain wheel.
Update: picked it up, I found two numbers, one on the rear dropout and one on the side of the head tube. The rear dropout number is C70477 with 9678 below it, the tube number is HC5955 82. Any idea which one is the serial, and if either of them are an indication of the year? Google didn’t have the answers. Tire sizes are 26 x 1 3/8 if that helps at all.I concur.

If it has a Sturmey Archer 3 speed, they are date coded. Might be the year before it was built or the correct year.
Found the chart, thanks Rick.It has a Shimano hub. And some of those have date codes, 2 small letters. See vintage trek component dates for the chart.
