This is going to be mind blowing bike.
Thanks dorr. I've decided on using the lowrider springer. It has the look I'm going for plus I thought the bike sat too high anyway. I'll be lowering the rear about 3 inches and I have to pick up some shorter cranks too. I'm getting excited to make this a roller to test it out before I paint it. Is that bike in your avitar yours? If so, were can I check out pix of it? That bike is sweet!I have to admit, the bike looks good to me either way. One of my daily riders is a 1940 Meade Cycle with the lowrider fork and it rides great. I ride it on one of our 18 mile rides we do down at the river park and does fine. I found the trick for me was using BMX straight bars for steering. Lov'n the bike in TN.
How is the swap meet portion of the show? Down here on the Gulf Coast, no one puts on swap meets of any kind. And the ones we do have are more like crappy flea markets of junk that should just be thrown away. Not swap meet goodies. Thanks for your comments. Coming from a builder like you it is a true compliment and thanks! Of course I would have to recommend the show we put on in Cleveland TN "GET-A-GRIP always the fourth Saturday of March. Of course I can not take all the fame, for Smoopy's Show in Murfreesboro is a good one and the one that got me started.
Safety? Short sleeved t-shirt, shorts, sunglasses and one glove... sounds safe to me. I was smart enough not to wear my flip flops. You practice the same sorta safety I do...Lovin the stance
Thanks Fordsnake, but trust me, your bikes will always be cooler than anything I could ever build.Beautiful symmetry...I wish my bike had the same lines.
