Problem 1:Bought and installed a repo banana seat.

Bike is "Flamboyant Red" (Dark)

Problem 2: Seat is a bright red glitter.

I like the glitter; but the seat is more of a bright red than I like. As of now, it's carefully covered in black electrical tape. It looks okay,but.......

Question: Is there something I can do that basically puts 35 years of darkening/aging on the seat, to at least get it closer to the darker red?

I'm not too concerned about the glitter; I'd just love to get the seat to more closely match the frame, at least until I can afford the correct color seat.

I'll hang up and listen..... 8)

A heat gun may age it similar to being sun baked. It would be hard to get it even. Be careful!!!!!

Hang it in a south facing window. Turn it often. It won't take as long as you think to fade. Gary

You probably will have figured it out by now (or ridden it enough to look fairly aged anyway) but howsbout a sunbed? I bet some time under there would do the trick. Certainly helps to age skin :D !
