Cruising an alley and this toolbox caught my eye sitting next to a garbage can. I asked the guy "Are you throwing that out?" because I was looking for another box.......He said he was getting ready to scrap it, then I spotted two mountain bikes in the truck. The one was roached huffy girls bike, bent rims, rusted solid. The other a Murry that was great, I asked about a price and he offered it at scrap price so $7 for the bike AND toolbox! I took them home aired up the tires on the bike and everything works. Needs a good scrubbing but looks great. The toolbox didn't have keys so I had to pick it, found a bunch of sockets and a set of tin snips! Not bad for a day's haul. Then found a nice $10 air compressor at the local pawn shop.

Re: Alley score!....and my lucky day!!! keeps getting better !!!

Just got an e-mail for 6 free bikes !!! He said 2 are kids bikes and 4 adult bikes. Going to pick them up !!! Guys you'd be surprised at what you can get if you just throw an add on C-list that you pick up free bikes. And I do do some "charity work" with some of the bikes, such as giving a bike to a neighborhood kid or fixing a guy's bike so he can get to work. A little good karma never hurts.

And that is bad why??? What is the 20" bike with the white tires there??? looks oldschool bmx.
I normally keep mine more organized by disassembling the bikes and labeling all the parts., frames go hung from the roof, wheels get tucked behind my trike, forks go in a crate, bars go in another crate, and brakes, shifters, and small parts go in my junk drawer. and cheap huffy bikes get cut to make more tire hangers or chopped up and re-designed. I also occasionally sell them. but only when I have to. Most times I trade them for parts or other projects.

Come on over I will keep ya busy  this is an old picture, that was a royce union I sold off a while ago,but I have another just like it , surprise...lmk I can get better pics, cheap !!!

If it wasn't so far I'd work off some parts there....lol. Indiana is a bit more than down the road though. I've had several royce unions, around here they are cheap.

Got the green Schwinn cleaned up and almost road ready, just waiting on a 27" tube, a rear brake cable, and bar wrap. Still debating on whether to go with a black bar wrap or try to find green bar wrap to match the bike. But I got everything chrome cleaned up except the rim hoops and I got the de-railers adjusted out perfect. Look at that shine!
