Anodizing rims

Hi All, I'm thinking of having a set of 26" aluminum rims anodized blue, and I'm wondering if anyone has done this? I need to know if it will damage the rims due to the acids used, specifically the pins that hold the rims together. I know this may be a technical question, but any info would be helpful.

If you are looking for a cruiser/coaster brake wheels, it may be cheaper to buy them.
