A friend of mine from church kept telling me about this old Schwinn she has sitting in her yard and to come by sometime to pick it up, so in my mind I have pictured a three speed ladies ( since that is the majority of my finds) so I drive up and here's what she gave me. I look it over and squeeze the brake levers and the cable housings literally exploded near the levers, always a good sign  but component wise it has some good parts and the paint has some big scrapes, so what to do, what do you think?

Lol my Vintage Raleigh MTB did the same thing with the housings when I got it. If you don't already have a vintage mountain bike keep it. they are always fun to ride and can take pretty big tires

Heres mine. I have to ditch them fenders though. they are all demented. lol

Lol Big horn.

I turned the same bike into this:

not done yet. But it coasts around the yard pretty well. I'm going to rob the wheels from it soon though so this poor sole might not ever get done.

The larger and nicely lugged frame, not to mention brand recognition, would probably make the Schwinn an easier sell. Or just stick a basket on it and use it as a beater.

Flip. Decent components and has the Schwinn name. Not good enough components to strip or keep though.

Funny thing, people perceive nearly all "vintage" MTBs as worth around a hundred dollars.

Normally thats what I would do, but I am having a hard time selling mt bikes for some reason, the mens touring three speeds sell a little better. I have been trying to sell this one on cl for eighty with no takers, if this one moves I might have a little more incentive.
I should have mentioned this one is a Schwinn Mirada from 85 , and maybe I spoke too soon but I have a potential buyer supposed to look at this one today
