I’ve had this ladies bike for several years and can’t seem to give it away, so I’m going to tinker with it and build a swap meet rat bike.

Not that it really matters, but...does anyone have an idea of what I have here? First thought was Schwinn, but the chainwheel doesn’t look right...

The chainring is mid-50s Huffman, for sure, and I kinda get the same vibe from the rest of the bike, though from an earlier era. I'll do some digging.

EDIT: '55 Customliner?

Looks like a good starting point for a gender-bender. Sculpt your own tank the way TRM did.

It's a Huffman, here's a 47 model, looks like the same guard.

The pseudo-final version of what I’m naming “Ruffie”...

I thought I remembered that I had the front fender...went looking and I found it! My first rat build that included fenders at all!!!

"Ruffie"--I like it. The aquamarine rim color was a great choice, too. It really compliments the crusty bits.
