Anybody use Abus V-brake adapters

I like V brakes and they sell a pair of adapters that are cheap ($) and look pretty cheesy. This would make it easy to put 24" wheels on a old ride. Any experiences with these :?:

I think it would would work well and be easy to restore back to original frame. :idea:

Googling looks like those are made to hold a Dutch style ring wheel lock. I don't think you can mount brakes to them.

Any idea what the Dan's Comp plate is made of?

My guess is cast aluminum. Maybe stamped steal, but that would be heavy.
