Anyone here build a quad-cycle?

I've had this hair brained idea off and on for a while to build a quad cycle by linking two bikes side by side and welding up a seat/framing to go between them. Has anyone attempted this? If not, explain an equally hair brained or crazy idea that you have had. Ready... Set.... Go!!

I was considering doing a side by side built with 2 tandems but then I realized I had no where to store it. so I brass brazed the 2 tandems end to end to make a inline 4 seater with 2 wheels.

I always thought it'd be cool to hook one of these up to a tandem.

But not cool enough to take up the space in the garage...
