This is Not my build off bike. I took a couple of days off from my build off bike. To build a Huffy Rail Bike I picked up on Monday. Told myself no more bikes but I’ve been looking for a decent Rail got a while. Before is Monday and after is today Wednesday. Still a bit more to do but it’s just about there . My next post will be my Columbia Apache build off bike next steps.

Thank you ! It was a side track from my auctial build off bike. I wanted a day off . Lol , I just wanted to be able ride the rail as I am building my Rat Rod Build off bike .

I still have never scored a Rail yet. The closest I have come is having the 26" version (sorta) of that frame.

Interesting...I have a Sachs 7spd, with a coaster brake. What kind of brake does yours have?

I finally looked at the brake arm it says nothing no clue what it is ? I took a pic of the brake arm of course I deleted it . I’ll try again.

These two giant Buffalo nickels arrived in the mail today I planned on using these for the Apache build but they are way more shiny than I saw in the photos. I never expected them to be Show chrome ? Not sure if I should paint them the frame color or leave them as they are ?

Side badges added. Not sure weather to make them match the frame paint?

I like the badges as an accent color, leave em as is, my 'nickle's worth'.

I’m thinking about swapping the stem . The purple stem is almost a perfect match and I’d gain height and length.

I like the chrome Apaches. Easier to tell for sure with a pic of the whole bike, but I think it will be well balanced. Painting them purple may be too matchy, plus people wouldn't necessarily realize they are buffalo nickels.

Adding the purple Stem was a big help . More height and length only a couple of inches but makes all the difference and I can now make the bars horizontal. With the frame. I still need to flip the gauges not sure how I feel about the new location for the gauges . But I don’t think I should put the bracket on the Stem due to it’s a sunken in bolt with a plastic base.

I reinstalled the front brake ( still no cable on it) and a front fender . Debating on weather to keep it or look for something else?

the side badges sort of give the illusion of an oil tank. cool.
