Ape hangers on Onyx?

I would like to get a set of ape hangers for my Onyx cruiser. But the problem is none of the bike shops around here have any apes on hand. But I don't want to just randomly buy a set on line without having them in my hands. So any suggestions? Maybe from anyone with an Onyx and apes?

I'm fairly new to bikes, I'm just not sure what size would fit the bike.

Some kind of measuring device, while your perched on your ride would probably help. A tape measure, yard stick etc. Go from there.

Ok. I don't know why that didn't even cross my mind to do that. I'll measure it up tomorrow after I get all back together. I got it tore down to grease it all up.

The Onyx has 1" bars, so make sure the bars you get have that 1 " bulge in the middle or pick up a pair of handlebar shims when you buy the bars

Ok. I will. I have an old BMX I was going to steal the handle bars off of for reference. But then I noticed it has like a 7/8th bar.
