Arai Drum Brakes - WEIRD bikes

File these under failed 80's concepts. Hopefully the Arai drum brakes will detach and be usable independent of the hub (28 hole). Would love to use them. Otherwise 24x3's or on a 24" Klunker I had in the works already. Murray Street Machine 20/24. :roll: His and hers. Drums on rear only. 2 brake cables running to one rear brake and a Shimano rapid fire shifter on a front only dérailleur with a chain tensioner out back. Blegh!

Man I remember those bikes!Those are actually in great condition.Whats up with those red mags??

The red mags are a pair of Lesters that are bound for a muscle bike as soon as I get a decent slick for one. The Arai brake on the girls bike came apart, looks pretty good inside but the outer shell is machine pressed to the 28 hole axle. This is going to take some creativity, but I think I can get it off if I take it apart from the other side of the hub and use it on a 26" 36 hole wheel.
