Well, I am back and ready to progress on the bike some more. I am still feeling a little underpowered as I cannot remember many of the details of my recent life - what I was doing last week or three months ago is fine, but not the how of it. I never realised how much we rely on computers, now that the deatails of how are missing, ho ho!
So I have fixed the top of the cap and filled in the bit where the seat is going to to go and fitted all the seat supports, but the whole lot about where and how I am going to do the bottom stuff like the front and rear forks will have to be scrapped if I want to get the bike finished on time. The good bit is that it does not matter how far I will get, as the whole project is an experiment.
The whole project is an experiment to be undertaken in stages and will fit two bikes, while I prepare for my sprink/summer project.
The grreat thing about the project is that it has a lot of indoor work, because the weather is sub-zero (centigrade) for more than half the days since mid december.

Long time no Gee! Good to have you back. I enjoy following your cardboard art. Hopefully, working on a passion project will fire up the neurons

The gaps between the disc sectioons are not all that equal - either from section to section or around each section. I am trying to build a bike that is more a work of art than a work of craft, and the fact that it actually will fit onto to two bikes is more important than whether it fits perfectly onto either. It is more important that it looks like a motorbike than actually is a motorbike.
Looks like, not is.
A lot of such things take things too far or not enough - like a motorcycle or like a pair of pressings on the top bars that kind of look like a tank. No, this is going to look like an early prototype kind of thing, something that someone like I might see as a development engineer, but few others. Even today, someone may render this kind of thing in plastic before getting a steel prototype made.
Now this foam will go over the saddle area, and be held in place with some cloth left over from covering the outside 'basement' area, something that is very popular here in Poland and beyond. The belt is just to encourage the curve over the seat area.
