I remember this one when he posted it last year. I was surprised to see that he had the same idea for board track bars that I had on Southern Flyer. The only disappointing thing about this bike is that the engine does not actually work.Yeah, I am sure that I could compete in a build off with this........

I've spoken with David, the seller on Ebay.
These were a part of a large collection of a lifelong friend that unfortunately passed away. David is now selling off the collection as he has time.
I'm hoping to be able to interview him and write up a story for the homepage.

That is such sad news. Make sure that David knows how much pleasure his friends amazing creations have given us. Any of us that look at his friends work can appreciate the creative mind and masterful hands that toiled over those rolling works of art.

I actually got a chance to chat with him, told him I was sorry for his loss and that the whole world lost.
To me it's not just cool bicycles,or someone with a genius mind. Its bicycles and those that love them.
For most of us I think our first meeting with freedom came on two wheels. To have a world without bicycles would be sad,to have a world without people who love them would be downright depressing.

It sounds like you are on top of things. If he does an interview with pictures, then my trip down there may hinge on whether or not I actually buy one of his bikes.

Mine too!!In a lot of ways, this one is my favorite.
What fine camera work, huh? This should go in the "how to" for build off final pics. Look at the way the greenery frames the bike @ the seat, bars, taillight.. the area directly behind the bike has two simple patterns and is basically monochromatic. Delightful.

I'm pretty sure they were built not bought. I think it was just a guy with a lot of talent and patience. (Money probably factored in there somewhere)
But as we all it doesn't always take a lot of money to build something amazing,just look around this website.

This was not meant as a criticism. I just know that it takes a lot of money to achieve the level of work done on these bikes (apart from the high level of talent and vision). I have lots of ideas for projects ranging from cars to boats to even bikes that I have not been able to finish due to the cubic dollars required. More power to those that can though!
