I was just saying I'm pretty sure they were not bought.

I know we all have plans that require Bill Gates to give us a loan,and some that just require a little over time at work. That's what's taking me so long to finish my current build,and why my van is not yet pimptastic.

I don't believe the expendable income comment was regarding him buying the bikes, but rather the sum of money required to purchase the high end base bikes and pricey parts he used to build them up.
There is definitely a lot of somebody's disposable income in these bike regardless of who did the work.

Exactly. I didn't think it was taken wrong, I just felt like I should clarify before it had a chance to be.

Some of the things like chrome plating parts and automotive paints can also add up. And if he did hire some of the work out, that can be very costly depending on the shop. I know people in the street rod industry that have shop rates that are hard to imagine and stay booked up well in advance.

It will be interesting to read about him when Steve does his article.
